This project was a complete transformation that involved restoring the existing worker’s cottage to its former glory, transitioning into a modern two storey rear extension. The contemporary material palette and colour scheme provides a strong connection between the two areas while respecting the original period details. The open plan living and additional space provided by the extension ensures the family will be able to enjoy their home for many years to come.
The project included large structural changes to create a more open plan living area, a two-story addition to create a new master ensuite upstairs with new laundry and kitchen areas to the ground floor. The existing roof was replaced with new colorbond and new timber windows installed, maintaining the home’s character while ensuring it can be enjoyed by future generations.

When engaging a builder for a project there are so many things to consider and Chris delivered on all. Chris’ quality of work was to an extremely high standard, he was an excellent problem solver, often coming up with an innovative solutions to challenges throughout the build and the site was always well organised and cleaned up at the end of the day. The project ran to time and he was always flexible working with us on delivering the outcome we required whilst adhering to our budget. Chris and his team were professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with.
